Free 14-day trial and your phone number

The free trial is limited to one per person. To enforce that, we ask for a mobile number and send a one-time text code through our messaging provider (Twilio). We do not keep your number in readable form: we store only a one-way hashed copy and the last four digits, together with your e-mail address, so we can recognise a repeat trial request. The hashed record is kept even if you later delete your account, because that is what stops the same person from starting a second trial. We do not use your number for marketing and we do not sell or share it.
